Early Colt M1851 Navy Revolver, 1852
Nice condition on this Colt Navy revolver which came out of Colt's factory in 1852. Standard Colt Navy 6 shot revolver in .36 cal. percussion. Standard 7 1/2" octagon barrel with clear ---Address Samuel Colt New York City--- & also has serial no. 14026 on bottom & front sight intact. Frame has Colts Patent & serial no. 14026 on bottom & has just a trace of case color. Cylinder has Colt Patent No. 14026 along with around 50%+ Naval battle scene intact. Loading lever also has 14026 sn. intact. Brass backstrap with mellow patina also has 14026 intact with traces of original silver finish. Brass trigger guard also with mellow patina & 14026 &Â R on left side. Cylinder rod also has serial no. intact. Wood grips in great used condition with some original varnish intact & a couple of use dings. Action is good on both half & full cock. Smooth metal on all metal parts with nice patina & some original bluing intact turning dark. Wedge on this colt is just a few serial nos. off from the rest of the revolver. A nice early Colt Navy revolver which could have been used in the CW.
