Nice smooth blade 36 3/16" curved with nice patina. Blade marked with P.S. JUSTICE  PHILADa, the size in the American made swords & has pointed tip. Brass guard in great condition with nice mellow patina & peening at pommel cap never messed with. Leather covered wood grip with twisted wire all there & original. Slight swell in grip which no foreign made sword had & is a characteristic of the American made Justice sword. Twisted wire has 15 turns as the American made sword has. Some light wear on leather grip cover & all wire intact. The steel scabbard has no screws & has the partial crude irregular seam down the scabbard which is noted on the American made scabbard made by Justice. Scabbard also has the Philadelphia style drag also noted on the American made scabbards by Justice. Scabbard has no dents & has dark brown patina which some has worn off to gray patina.  Throat washer also looks to be original. P.S. Justice released 96, 36 " blade Cavalry swords in 1861.
