Civil War Era 1861, M1849 Colt Pocket Revolver w/6" barrel, Great Scene
A really nice Civil War era M1849 Colt Pocket Revolver with desirable 6" barrel & great cylinder scene. Standard M1849 Colt Pocket .31 cal. 6 shot with all matching serial nos. 195942 which came out of Colt's factory in 1861. Barrel is marked Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America & serial no. Barrel has some areas of the original bluing intact. Wedge has serial no. Loading lever has serial no., smooth metal & just a trace of case hardening. Barrel pins are worn. Frame is smooth with Colts Patent marking & traces of case color. Cylinder smooth with great hold up cylinder scene around 90% intact. Very clear Colt Patent No. 195942 also on cylinder. Action is great. Brass trigger guard has mellow patina with serial no. & small amount of original silver finish intact. Brass backstrap also has nice mellow patina with serial no. cylinder rod also has the serial no. intact. Very nice one piece walnut grips with around 85% original varnish intact & also has serial no. inside the channel groove. A nice Civil War era 6" M1849 Colt Pocket revolver.
