Civil War M1851 Navy Colt Percussion Revolver 1862

Very nice example of the Civil War era Colt M1851 Navy percussion revolver with 6 shots in .36 cal. Single Action. Serial no. 124667 which came out of the Colt's factory in 1862. All matching with serial no. on the barrel, cylinder, frame, trigger guard, cylinder rod, butt, loading lever & on wedge. Metal is smooth on this colt navy with nice dark patina. Barrel is marked with --Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America--which is very clear. Barrel also has original front sight intact. Cylinder has over 85% original Naval battle scene intact & has all the original "Engaged 16 May 1843" at the top of cylinder. Cylinder also has clear Colts Patent No. 4667 intact. Frame has clear Colts Patent & metal is smooth. Action is excellent on this Colt Navy. Brass trigger guard has mellow patina with 6 stamping as well the brass backstrap & butt. Original loading lever has serial no. intact. Walnut grips have a used condition with a lot of the original varnish intact. These M1851 Colt Navy revolvers were used in the Civil War by soldiers in the North & South armies. This is a very nice example with all original parts, nice scene with engaged line & nice patina through out the revolver.Â
