Civil War, Martial, M1860 Colt Army Revolver

A nice example of the Civil War, US Martial Colt Army Percussion Revolver which came to the US Gov't in 1863. These colt army revolvers were the most used by US troops than any other revolver during the Civil War & was also used a lot by Confederate troops. This army has serial no. 135923 & went from colt's factory to the US Gov't in 1863. Standard Colt Army revolver in .44 cal. with 6 shot cylinder & 8" round barrel. Nice brown patina on this army with around 70% original cylinder scene intact with a 1" area on cylinder where revolver set for years which has s&p rusting. Cylinder still has the Gov't inspectors initials intact along with Colts Patent 5923 & Patented Sept. 10 1850 intact. Barrel has Colt's NY address  on barrel starting clear & when it gets to the New York is lighter. Clear Colts patent on frame. Wood grips good with Gov't inspectors cartouches still intact on both sides. & H carved into grip. Serial no. all matching on this CW revolver. SN.is on the barrel, frame, Trigger guard, butt, Wedge, Cylinder & on Cylinder Rod. Action is great on this Colt Army revolver. This Colt definately saw action during the War & is in great used Condition.Â
