Nice Early Indian Wars 1/6th Plate tintype of full uniformed US Infantryman Holding his 45/70  two banded rifle & bayonet. Soldier has his kepi, coat, pants, boots & looks to have his dress gloves on. rustic bench behind him & monument & forest backdrop. Good clear image with very nice mat & liner. Glass is good. Name of case maker inside under image. Case has red velvet material on left side & image on right. The outside of case has two birds, a nest in floral. Floral all around on case. This Early Indian Wars image of soldiers are kind of scarce as the most images of are a later period. This is a very nice Indian Wars image & case.
