Early Large Bowie Style Knife with Copper Scabbard

A really nice early  Bowie style side knife with great copper scabbard. Large 19" knife with spear point. Really sturdy 13 1/2"X 2 1/4" W  blade with a nice dark patina. Smooth metal on the blade with attached counterguard which curls under for finger protection. Beautiful two piece stag grips with a couple of very small use cracks. Grips are put on the tang with either bronze or brass pins. Copper scabbard fits the knife perfectly & has turned a very dark patina. Scabbard has a large metal hanging ring  & scabbard has the early style rivets. This knife could have been used by a mountain man or a soldier in the Civil war or a cowboy who knows. Knife a scabbard both have a real good look.
