Really scarce, a World War I American Expeditionary Forces Souvenir service plate with American Soldier's name, unit & battles written on plate. Heavy crockery plate with crossed rifles, Div.Big red 1 & Circle A. 1917 14 Aug.France & Germany.1 Dec. 1918 embossed on plate with Amercian Eagle & painted Shield. Gold Leaves around the edges. These were usually sent home to the family. This one belonged to Cpl. E.D. Reid to his mother 1st Div., 26 Reg. Inf. Co.A with 4 Overseas stripes & battles Luneville, Soissons, Aisie-Marne & 2 others which I can't read. Rare Souvenir Service Plate of Cpl. Reid of Maryland.
