Nice Early M1851 Navy Colt Revolver, 1852
Nice condition on this Colt Navy M1851 Revolver which came out of Colt's factory in 1852. Standard Colt Navy 6 shot revolver in .36 cal. Percussion. Standard 7 1/2" barrel with clear --Address Samuel Colt New York City---. Barrel has serial no. 14026 at bottom & has front sight intact. Frame has Colt Patent Mark on left side & has trace of case color & 14026 on bottom. Cylinder has Colt Patent No. 14026 w along with 60%+ navy battle scene intact. Original loading lever also has 14026 sn. intact. Brass backstrap has with mellow patina has 14026 & traces of silver finish intact. Brass trigger guard also same patina with traces of silver finish & 14026 sn & R on side. Action is good on both full & half cock. Cylinder rod also has 026 sn. Wood grips in great used condition with a couple of use dings. Smooth metal on this Navy colt with some original bluing turning dark intact. Original wedge has 13997 sn which is only 29 nos. from the rest of the gun. Either colt done or cleaning during the CW. A nice condition Colt Navy M1851 revolver which could has been used in the CW.
