Rare, Revolutionary War, American Animal Head Navy Officer's Sword/Scabbard

Very rare US Navy Officer's Sword & scabbard from the Revolutionary War. Nice original condition on this Lions Head Pommel sword. Sword has 27 1/4" slightly curved short blade. Blade is 1 1/8" wide & has extended fuller. Blade is hammered & some flaws in the metal. Blade has no markings. Looks to have the original throat washer intact. This sword has a crude brass Lions Head Pommel which is 1 3/4"L & 1 3/8" wide. Brass  knucklebow with cutout Navy fowled anchor meets the counterguard at a right angle & narrow counterguard extends to a round flat quill on with wave etchings. Peening on top of Lions Head Pommel has never been disturbed. Spiral wood grip in good used condition with a small piece missing where it joins the Lions head. The leather scabbard which is 27 1/2" fits this sword perfectly  may be a little later than the Rev. War. Those leather scabbards especially used at sea had a very short life & the officers had to replace at times.  The sword came out of the Revolutionary War Artifact Museum in Maine. I showed this sword to another museum curator & he told me it was definitely American made because of the way the blade & guard & pommel were made. A really rare American made Navy Officer's sword from the Revolution.
