Unusual Under hammer percussion boot pistol in around .50 cal. Pistol is 13 3/4" overall with a 7 1/2" octagon barrel. Pistol's barrel still has a little of the bluing intact with no markings. Under hammer action works very good. Hammer has cross hatching on the top & solid rear sight & brass front sight.  Large metal trigger guard with curved trigger. one piece wood handle & top stock. Narrow steel breech & top strap. Brass larger butt plate. Unusual design & could have been made up during the Civil War for a southern soldier. Interesting piece.
