Very nice condition on this early 1830-1850s Half Spanish Half American riding Saddle. Saddle has tooled leather tapered skirts. Scrolled, Trapunto-stuffed Enamel Black leather Seat. Canvas under padding. This saddle has original canvas Saddle cloth & has red edging. The leather covered wood stirrups are in good condition. Saddle has russet leather crupper & original web girth. Saddle still is very good condition & has description & pictured in Ken Knobb's book, American Riding & Work Saddles 1790-1920. Really nice early to mid 1800s saddle & cloth.
