Civil War Era E.Whitney Pocket Revolver
Civil War era E. Whitney Pocket revolver in nice condition. Serial No. 17121, all matching, which makes it coming out of Whitney's factory in late 1850s or early 60s. This Whitney revolver has smooth metal with nice gray patina & traces of original bluing on barrel & frame. This Whitney revolver has a oct. 5" barrel with original front site & a clear E.Whitney N. Haven on top & serial no. on bottom. Five shot .31 cal. percussion. Cylinder still has light scene of lion, ship, Eagle & shield & has serial no. on the back near nipples. Nice smooth frame with serial no. under the brass trigger guard. Loading lever with light traces of case color & serial no. intact. Nice walnut grips with most of the original varnish intact. Very nice action. These Whitney revolvers were used by both Northern & Southern soldiers during the CW. Nice example of the Whitney Pocket Revolver. $875.00
