Original US MarU.S. Martial, Colt Navy Army Percussion revolver. Nice smooth metal with great patina. All matching serial nos. 69520 which came out of Colt's factory to the US Gov't in 1857. Standard 6 shot, .36 cal. revolver with 7 1/2" oct. barrel. Side of frame marked with Colts Patent & small U.S. Barrel marked --Address Saml Colt New.York City-- with S sub inspectors initial behind address. Cylinder has around 40% scene intact with the MA of the engaged line intact. Cylinder has Colts Patent Nos. 69520  k intact. The cylinder, barrel, trigger guard, backstrap, loading lever & cylinder rod all have same serial nos. sub inspectors S on backstrap, Sub Insp. K on brass behind trigger guard. S on top of barrel, K on cylinder. No. serial no. on wedge. Colt inspector G & l on side of trigger guard. Wood grips have inspector's cartouche intact on left side but can't read the letters. Scattered traces of original finish intact on barrel, hammer & cylinder. Mellow patina on brass trigger guard & backstrap. Action is great on this US Navy Army. These Colt Navy Armies were issued mainly to the US Army, cavalry & the US Navy had the Black Navy, iron backstrap & trigger guard. These revolvers were used in the American Civil War by both North & South. A really nice example of the US Navy Army Martial Colt Revolver.
